I would replace the fixture not the lightbulbs. The candles are discolored and the color is alarming. This is a fairly old fixture and it looks like it's time to retire it.
I don't know if I would replace it or not but I would take the whole thing down and clean it all up and then decide. The discoloration is cause for concern. It may just be soot that cleans right up but I would check first. The fixture likely has a couple of nuts holding the face plate on. Take them off and it likely hangs from the center rod. That likely is held by a nut in the fixture in the ceiling. undo that and it falls off. There are two or three wires connected by wire nuts in the fixture. After you are sure the power is off simply untwist them and you can take the thing down. Then open it up and try and clean it up. If not replace it. If it does clean up put LED bulbs in it and put it back up. Pretty good chance it will never again come down.
