I'm very happy with my Nest. I like that I can adjust easily with my phone or via the Amazon Echo even if I'm upstairs in bed (only one zone in the house). And it's great to be able to turn on the heat or A/C when you are on your way home, so the house is comfortable when you get there. We're in and out on a varying schedule so a basic timer doesn't do it.

I'm a fan of smart home technology in general and continue to add things as I go along. Just put in a smart/voice controlled sprinkler system controller as my latest toy.

I've had two Ecobee 3's in my house for the past year. They're fantastic. My wiring did support the c-wire already, but did have to open the control panel on each hvac unit and connect the c-wire to the panel. Easy as pie. I use it a lot more than I thought I would too, especially the upstairs unit. I turn on the house fan when I shower to help lower the humidity in the bathroom.
