Does anyone know any good video cameras to put up in front of my house for under 100 dollars ? we have had some packages missing that someone at the post office marked delivered , only they never got delivered if you know what I mean . this is not the first time but I want them to think about even trying to steal something , you know ? I have complaints in the post office but more times than not the complaints go in one ear and out the other , I just want it to stop . There have been some stories on the news stations about postal employees stealing and being found out later . As I said I just want it to stop .

There are a few indoor cameras for less than $100, but you'll have to spend twice that for an decent outdoor camera. If you have well protected outdoor locations (like big roof overhangs), you can use an indoor camera outside.

I use this one outside and it's working just fine.

I had the same problem years ago.

Got a PO Box and have had one ever since. No more issues.

A camera won't prevent your loss. A PO Box will.

The Ring Doorbells are about $200. Good reviews on Amazon.

Nest is more expensive and has biggest subscription fees, but it's constant recording, vs motion activated.

I haven't seen any well reviewed product less than $200. I would invest in the $ for security.

I really like my Arlo Pro cameras. They only record on motion and send push alerts to my phone, They are good for seeing who is walking up on your house or garage. They also offer free 7 day recording forever.

There are plenty of good video cameras out there. The obvious, mass market ones are fairly overpriced, though.

I went with some Reolink cameras:

Mostly used the wired POE version with an NVR installed inside a secured location for on-site storage. The disadvantage is that you don't have cloud storage natively, so if your house is broken into and the NVR is stolen, you only have whatever footage you stored to your phone through the app. The advantage is that there are no monthly fees, your storage isn't dependent on power/internet service, and you are in control of your footage rather than relying on a company that may or may not continue to store your data for you.

The other nice thing is that these actually look like a serious video camera. People won't tend to steal your package when they can clearly see a security camera pointed at them when they come up, while a Ring camera or something hidden won't act as a deterrent.
