No, I don't have one. Vacation homes are a luxury for the rich, the retired and/or those who aren't require to physically be at work.

My grandparents had a place in Florida and would go there for the winter.

In a way, i agree.... in another way, i dont. There was a time where some middle class families had one, and would go away for the weekend... and that was a time when remote work (internet) wasnt really a thing. Now, many of those homes that were sold when families grew up, are getting expensive and most middle class families probably wouldnt be able to obtain one. Just sayin

I've been thinking that it would be nice to have a condo near the Delaware shore which would be about equidistant from us and our two adult children.

It's just a thought at this point though.

Someone up thread mentioned Atlanta. When I lived there, it seemed that so many people had a cabin at Lake Lanier or Altoona. Also had a friend who had a cabin farther away at Lake Burton. These cabins were all simple affairs but lots of good times on those lakes where water skiing was big.
