Has anyone ever had their kitchen aid mixer painted another color.? I have the large size and love it but.......it was given to me as a gift years ago in red. Red has never been my color. It doesn't match anything in my home. I read something about being able to have them painted. I didn't get much further than that (years ago) and have never revisited the thought.....until now! Is it possible?
Yup, not only possible but pretty easy. They disassemble fairly easily and anyone who does Any kind of painting can paint it with ease. From an auto-body shop, to a hobby air brush artist to a spray-paint "graffiti" artist.
Mine is copper (was a special edition the year I got married) so paint is Never in the cards for me, but I've had it apart for service as I've used the snot out of it for 14 years.

Gee, I was really happy with my cobalt blue, metallic KitchenAid mixer till I saw all the fancy schmancy paint jobs that people do on theirs! Now my head is spinning with ideas!
I got mine on sale (black only) and will now spend the rest of the day with amazing colorful kitchen-aids in my head. I wish I had the nerve to try it.
Darn. I could have liberated my mom's harvest gold mixer instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a new one.
Boo.
Though I doubt I could have made it as pretty as my sparkly midnight blue...
