I'm in California and the state decided that they're going to make energy conservation advocates out of us. All the regs did was drive all the work to the moonlighters. I'm getting out of the trade and getting into stainless steel fabrication for the marine industry...no regulations and nobody thinking the work is unskilled.

I've seen a lot of hvac units over the years & a substantial percentage of the installs suggest "unskilled" labor.

Yeah, even on my worst day I look better than a lot of guys on their best day. What you see as a problem, I see as an opportunity.

Every occupation, every industry...probably even yours, has people not fit for their line of work but remarkably the world seems to survive.
