sometimes that happens just rip the pipes out and clean them out well then use drano. the snake won't get the way bottom of the pipe

my bath sink gets clogged with hair; it collects on the crossbar near the top of the drain. I found a cool tool, "FlexiSnake Drain Millipede" https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's like a stiff wire covered with the hook part of velcro. Flexible enough to shape to the drain, then you twist it around and it gathers up the hair.

rather disgusting to clean, but using it every 6 months has ended my slow drain problems. I use it in the tub, too. (I have long hair, it gets stuck everywhere.).

I paid $6 for a new one in June, it's gone up to $10. but it works!

Very informative posts, everyone - Thanks for the feedback. I've had this drain issue at times & it's good to know what to use to resolve this.

For a bathroom sink, it’s very easy to disconnect the elbow under the sink by turning by hand. No tools needed. You can also disconnect the drain pulley from under the sink. Very easy to clean out everything. Look at this video.

So funny I have this video opened in my tab right now lol. I did what he said still slow. I cannot get the long piece from the top of the sink off so I had to use the orange tool mentioned above to get inside. Still nothing. I will try bleach and hot water next.

I just remembered I have this in my basement. I will try it but I will need to buy gloves because if it doesn't work I don't want it getting on my hands when I have to open the pipe to let the water out.

STOP!!!

If you have Cast Iron or Galvanized lines anywhere along the flow path the acid in the plastic bag will make Swiss Cheese out of them...

Had to repipe waste lines at many a rental because of this product.

Now if you have all plastic, no worries.

Just make sure.

if that doesn't work. someone has poured cement or something in your drain. it will literally burn plastic
