My upstairs bathroom sink takes forever to drain. I've tried baking soda and vinegar, removing the pipe and using a snake. Nothing seems to work. Maybe I am not pushing the snake far enough. I have a manual one I don not have the ones plumbers use. Attached are pictures of the sink and pipes.
sometimes that happens just rip the pipes out and clean them out well then use drano. the snake won't get the way bottom of the pipe
It's like a stiff wire covered with the hook part of velcro. Flexible enough to shape to the drain, then you twist it around and it gathers up the hair.
rather disgusting to clean, but using it every 6 months has ended my slow drain problems. I use it in the tub, too. (I have long hair, it gets stuck everywhere.).
I paid $6 for a new one in June, it's gone up to $10. but it works!
a plumber old my mother pour bleech down the drains once a month. might be true, as I have a portable washer in the kitchen and my kitchen drians so fast, its unbelieveable, maybe some truth to it, since i do hot water bleech washes all the time.
also someone said used coffee grinds as well???
call a plumber if need be.
i pour bleech down all my drainbs like my moms plumber said, once a monthe, tub, and bathroom vanity, no problems ever.
For a bathroom sink, it’s very easy to disconnect the elbow under the sink by turning by hand. No tools needed. You can also disconnect the drain pulley from under the sink. Very easy to clean out everything. Look at this video. https://youtu.be/8PI0iaIB6-4

So funny I have this video opened in my tab right now lol. I did what he said still slow. I cannot get the long piece from the top of the sink off so I had to use the orange tool mentioned above to get inside. Still nothing. I will try bleach and hot water next.
u need to get that drain stuff from home depot. its a bottle inside a plastic bag. that always works
I just remembered I have this in my basement. I will try it but I will need to buy gloves because if it doesn't work I don't want it getting on my hands when I have to open the pipe to let the water out.

if that doesn't work. someone has poured cement or something in your drain. it will literally burn plastic
