We are replacing a Delta kitchen faucet today.
We need to remove the diverter cap to install the sprayer.
Here’s the question. How do we get the cap off?? We’ve read the directions and called the 800 number. We’ve tried pulling hard with a wrench, but it won’t come off. Hubby is afraid of breaking it. Do we need to pry it off with a screwdriver? Is it supposed to be hard?
We have pulled out the thingy under the cap, per the instructions.
Thank you for your response. I was all over YouTube before I asked here. We just got it off. The directions specifically say NOT to remove the clip that holds the cap, but to just slide it half way. So we inadvertently took the clip all the way off and the cap slid right out. It is on the hose where the spray attachment goes.
Here’s a picture. The clip is off in the picture.
