Yes sometimes it's the really little things that are just so awesome. ( I still love my knife storage in the drawer, and the ikea night lights).
That fire blanket sounds like such a good idea. I wonder why we don't have them here.

In fact, they had one ( a used one that someone gave them ) for a year or so and then bought a new one about 2 years ago and love it all.
We used our SodaStream for the first time today and it was really good! I'm hoping it will help us cut down on the fizzy drinks hubby loves to buy at Costco.

I was really reluctant to get one but I have to say, we don't get out to the bigger supermarket that often and having it on demand is great. They have the mail-in program or you can go to BBB (with a coupon) and get a new container.

A good power drill and a plethora of screw/drill bits. It was expensive, but totally worth it. Also bought solar panels and LED lighting, stucco bands and sills.

More gutters. I've had maybe 7+ inches of rain the past month. I'm not saying my basement is 100% dry (I have a sump pump for a reason) but things would look much worse with the way it was. I'll have more put up later this year. Give me peace of mind above all else.
