Just got a roomba type thing and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked on the pet fur and kitty litter. It even got the stuff around chair legs and in room corners, way better than our Dyson and shark! Plus it was so funny watching how the cats, dogs and birds reacted to it!

Alexa!
She rules the house! Controls the lights, the thermostat etc, we can warm/cool the house an hour or two away from home after vacation from the phone.

She provides weather forecasts, random pieces of info, times your cooking, and shuffles Sesame Street and Pink Floyd songs.
Never complains!

LED Desk Lamp by Costco, but got at discount store:

Ultrabrite LED Desk Lamp

I paid $24.00. It’s gorgeous, kind of like a swan, very techie and just what I’ve wanted for my home office. Matches my iMac perfectly. Might go back and get the other one at that store, I am so impressed with it...

LOVE it!

So tell me what have you bought recently for your house that you really like or would recommend? It can be a fixture, appliance, decoration or anything else that you put in your house
LED lightbulbs.

My garbage disposal recently died, and so we put in a regular drain instead. But it was causing problems...and I was getting annoyed. Then I discovered this little gem... and OMG it has made me soo happy OXO Good Grips Silicone Sink Strainer - its soft silicon and catches all the little bits of food and since its soft, its super easy to clean.. it also fits perfect so all the bits go through it rather than into the drain. I don't miss my disposal anymore.

Plenty of nice land. In fact, the we got the land first and the house isn’t yet finished.

This is one of my client's kitchens.

Not a great photo but the DISHWASHER is RAISED UP.

It's genius.

Everything is at elbow height when you open that door.

I go in A LOT of houses and never saw it before or since.
