Someone blessed me with a tanning bed that uses a 220 outlet ... bc I do not have a 220 outlet ... I called a company that will put one in and it’s gonna be like $200 or more, so bf I go and inves 200$ On this 220 outlet, I wanna make sure the tanning bed that I was Blessed with actually works.... so my question is, is there a way that I can get it tested bf I buy the 220 outlet and pay for the 220 to be put in..?

READ the RATING LABEL for what SPECIFIC voltage it uses.
"220" is a misnomer and doesn't count in this discussion.

Yeah. The same electrician company.

For an additional fee they will come out there and check the bed that it works and is safe
and will work using the 240 Volt SINGLE phase power that your house has available.

How much more? I'd budget $100. At least $50 though and assuming you do the $200 plug job.
That means $250 to say yes or $100 to say no.

Tanning beds are VERY sensitive to the right voltage. Some require buck/boost transformers to ensure the correct voltage is supplied, otherwise the tubes and ballasts can burn out quickly. I would make sure the electrician was familiar with them.

^^This... recently a local tanning salon burnt down because of faulty wiring. Back in the day I also worked for a tanning salon, and the owner was spending tons of money replacing ballasts, because she didn't pay to get the exact type of wiring used.

What you are going to need has many factors like the type and wattage and number of lamps in the unit. Get the specs before you plug that thing in! You could call a few local tanners and ask who they use as an electrician, that way it's someone who is familiar with your needs.

I would recommend not spending a dime on something that will end up costing you even more money later on medical bills from skin cancer and cosmetic procedures for aging skin.

Depends...I USED to smoke and I USED to tan when I was much younger, until I saw the light (pun not intended)!
