This weekend's project is replacing the door gasket on my front load Whirlpool Duet.
Replacement doesn't look horrible, but the job is made much more painful because the prior owners put cabinets all around our washer and dryer and laminate countertop over them. Basically our mud/laundry room looks just like a kitchen - only the stove and dishwasher is a washer and dryer. To compound it, it's a narrow space and I'm not 100% sure I can get the washer out without it ending up in the closet across from it. And I have to get the washer out because the top has to come off. Fun times!
Anyway, while I have this thing wrestled out of position I figure it's time to change the hoses. Are stainless steel braided hoses still the recommended route? Any installation tips or tricks to reduce chances of issues down the line?
