I used to have 6' tall silk fig trees. Each spring I'd place the wicker "pot" in a plastic garbage bag, tape it around the trunk, then carry it outside on a sunny day. I'd rinse it with a sprayer attached to a garden hose, then let it air dry. After removing the bag, I'd wipe the pot with a damp cloth. It didn't do it any harm and really fixed the tired look those silk plants get as they get dusty.

put them in the shower and spray with windex then rinse off.
