Sorry about losing your twin sons though. How awful.

So, it looks like we'll be making a trip up to my bro's in a few weeks for a visit and a fact finding mission in person.

It was mentioned that some people actually sell old trailers...perhaps..IF it holds up when moved and/or IF we decide it isn't worth it. There's a huge mega church up there and I believe they do a lot of outreach for the homeless up there, which there are plenty of in the downtown area of the city of Redding itself, I'll see if they have some kind of Habitat for Humanity type thing going on where volunteers fix up places for people to live in.

Anyway, I will report back... no matter what we end up doing, renovate the old shack, new mobile home, modular or sticks and bricks, moving in, rent out or sell, I WILL be visiting this forum more often! Lots of good info.
Thanks~ Redding Ca? That be my hometown... Small world.... Looking forward to your post!

Yeah, let us know what you think of the place . Sounds like fun, and it would be good experience for you to work on one. Would you live in it yourself? I'm sorry I lost track of what you were going to do. I guess you won't really know till you get there, and check it out. Just think outside of the box. I think as more people get priced out of regular homes these will be more feasible. Hey, mortgage free, and make improvements as you can. That would be smart. You don't have to keep up with the joneses.
