Hi folks, we are planning on painting the exterior of our home in the next couple of months and although I'm quite fine with repainting the same color, my wife wants to change. We've discussed maybe a blue gray but that would certainly be different from what it is now and don't know how it would look. So basically we aren't sure what color would work for this house and would love some input from ya'll. We've received one quote so far for a little over 4k but I'm certainly going to a few more, not sure if this is a good price or not. See below pic. Thanks
Consider the roof color, since it dominates the scene. Whatever you choose must look good with that roof color, which appears to be light brown. So you may need to stay with earthy tones.
With a brown roof, I would be looking more toward a slightly grayed sage green color. It will still be more of a "cool" tone but it won't clash with the brown. JMHO.
Have you tried any of those online apps that let you upload your photo and try different paint colors? I know Sherwin Williams has one. I've had pretty good luck trying out various colors with that before deciding and purchasing a color.

It's hard to see in the pic but the roof is dark brown, light brown and copper tones, I do agree, we 'll need to choose colors that don't clash with the roof.

Sage green, haven't thought of that but that may look nice!

I haven't but I'll look into it. I should have known they have an app for that.

I'm with you (and the earlier comment about shingles and tones)

That seems low to me. What isn't included?

The best house painting scheme I've seen is to break down the job
to manageable bites by doing ONE FACE a year repeating the same colors.
Do it yourself.
