New construction a few years back, slowly working towards finishing the basement. As you can see from the rough-in plumbing vs the house plan from the builder appear to not match. Do I have to have the shower drain moved?

Figured as much, meaning the concrete has to at least be broken up to relocate that drain correct?

Looks to me like a mirror image of the original capture, it shows a TUB not a Shower. A wall needs to be framed up behind the tub

Maybe I'm missing something or looking at it wrong. I assume that you took the last picture from what will be the doorway, right? I see a toilet drain and nothing else...?

This!^^^^
The slab plumbing is just a standard vanity, toilet, tub- all on a common wall.

Only if the tub is placed along that wall, we are contemplating a walk-in shower vs a standard fiberglass shower/tub, the shower would be located on the back wall shown in the last picture.

Is the area boxed off in the concrete with wood not the location of the shower drain plumbing?

No, it is piped for a Tub as the capture shows, most tub drains and overflows are on the end.

If you want a shower, yes you will have to break concrete and repipe it. If you only have 1 1/2 inch pipe in the floor you will need to change it to 2 inch. Venting may also have to be addressed if you are moving to far from the main stack.

You need a plumber to evaluate what you have VS what you need.
