We are on our second kitchen faucet. I think, Delta. The first one was replaced for free by the company because it froze up, and now the replacement is doing the same thing. Before I try to go to the well a second time, what can we do to fix it? WD40? CLR? It is a faucet that rotates over the two sinks with a single control for the water. I’d rather just find a way to keep it from happening. We have city water, so it’s not like we have a well with a bunch of minerals.
Don't use WD-40 on a faucet. I keep a spray can of food grade silicone around for any application where I don't want to use a poisonous chemical. You can pick it up at your local hardware or big box store.
Well, it certainly sounds like a Delta- most of the single hole kitchen faucets from Delta are all basically of the same design. That design is somewhat flawed due to a plastic bushing, stress on the main housing body, and water and dirt getting inside the housing further deteriorating the bushing.
Perhaps it's time to think about a different design...
No amount of grease will fix your problem if the bushing is shot.
