Our jacuzzi tub has developed a small leak on the hot water handle. We usually turn it on very slowly to let our cat drink some water. Is this likely to get worse? We do have a plumber who recently installed a new kitchen faucet who we could call. But if this is minor we could wait until we have a few jobs for him to do.
I suppose we might need to replace the faucet because I don't see how else you could fix it.
Garden tubs usually have separate valves for both hot and cold- and some valve cartridges are specific to "hot" or "cold".
It's a fairly easy DIY repair- but if you're not sure about turning the main water valve off, removing the handle from the valve, and removing the valve/cartridge, then call your plumber.
Remember, the longer it goes the more water you waste- and there's not an infinite amount of drinkable water!
Thanks for the reply. Yes this is something I would leave to a plumber. Trying to think of other jobs he could do while he is here.
It only leaks a small amount when we turn the water on.
