Wasn't laziness, never used one before. Another thing he did was mix up some body filler and mixed too much, of course the unused portion went back into the can. It would seem common sense would kick in and you would at least wonder why it needs to be mixed. This is something I would of been aware of when I was about 5, my Dad was an artist with epoxy. He had to be with 3 boys.

A photo of the area in question might cut to the chase!

I'm quite sure we're waaaaaaaaay beyond pictures at this point...

Last time I looked, all vac's come with instructions- those who don't read them exhibit ignorance. Those who can't read them, well...

Reminds me of that old "men are from..."
Women should come with instructions- the problem? Men don't read them!!!

What I meant was where the wall and floor carpeting meet. If it was a hardwood floor it wouldn't be a problem.

You can imagine a thick carpet and how much it would collect dust and how hard that would be to get the dust out

This attachment, put it in the corner and move it back and forth. Be careful not to mark the molding.

If the house vac is not doing the job get a decent shop vac.

Periodically, if you take a slightly damp rag/washcloth and wipe along the carpet/corner, the trapped dust will pill up and you can pick it up easily. Labor intensive but worth it periodically.

I use a broom to sweep along that gap and it gets the hair and dust out (we have dogs), then I vacuum it up.
