If you mean painting a second coat, the above post is spot on. Also look at the directions on the can.
If you mean using the room, it depends what room it is and other factors like humidity and time of year. A kitchen, I would use the same day exercising care though that I didn't touch the walls. I might wait a day with a bedroom depending on the odor. It would be safe, but it might bother some people.
Yeah, I'd give it overnight in moderately warm, dry conditions for the paint to be fully dried in corners etc. and generally "hardened" against scuffs everywhere else. Latex is often dry within an hour but still... tender.
this room has ceiling cracks that were repaired with drywall. i was able to stay in the room during the two-hour period--a good thing, since one of my possessions was almost mishandled and broken. the second part is where those cracks will be painted over. it sounds like latex paint will be used.
Thanks! it occurred to me to just open the windows in here. i know more about where to place items since the drywall experience. the only feedback i'd gotten was "dropcloth", and
that was for the painting part--away from those areas. the repair person was good to notice cracks that weren't obvious to repair and paint, so i can keep an eye on moving things if
