It seems to be standard in this area (NH) to have an inside shut off valve, even with a freezeless sillcock--one plumber told me it's code. And the latest plumber I spoke to--it's not that much more $$ to get the inside shut off as well (if he does both). I suppose I could just get the inside shut off valve replaced (?), but it's a nice house, why cheap out?
I have found that plumbers in this town only want to use parts that they can get at this one big plumbing supply chain--& they
don't want to go to Home Depot. But I need to contact the plumber who sent me the estimate, & get some more info. on what he plans to use.....
