It also has a staying power that bleach does not have. Once bleach is washed off, it's gone. The mildew will restart the process. Spray and Forget protection lasts for at least one year. I'm still watching for mildew to reappear.

I used this product 4+ yrs ago and moss hasn't came back yet. This link is for reference only. Dont buy from AMZ. Mine was on sale for like 5 bucks locally. comes w a sprayer hose that I kept so next time I can just put outdoor bleach into the same bottle. I know OP say there's no hose but just want to share a $5 solution that may work for people who has a less than major mildew problem.
