Just be prepared to put up with the tattle-tales and shamers on social media like Nextdoor who'll post about seeing contractor trucks in front of your house.

They'll post about that being "non-essential" without even bothering asking what the work is for - like absolutely essential work (flooding, appliance repair, electrical/heating problems, finishing a kitchen so you can cook to STAY HOME).

Nope - the busybodies just see the trucks and want to put the word out and shame you.

It's certainly true!

Was just having a conversation with a neighbor today- the executive assistant for the mayor of one of the cities here in north Fulton county. Apparently the police dept an the mayor's office have been overwhelmed with phone calls from citizens doing just that.

It's ashame they can't just mind their own "social distancing" and economic essentials.

I can’t wait to see the quarterly numbers at Lowe’s and Home Depot. Even with our area being in a self quarantine and only essential businesses being open Lowe’s and Home Depot are rocking and rolling every day. The landscape department is hustling. I guess a lot of people are getting caught up with spring planting and small DIY projects. I have a few friends that haven’t had a vegetable garden in years are now planting.

I have two years until retirement so most of our projects are DIY for now. Big ones once I retire.

My sister-in-law just closed on a home improvement loan to redo their single bathroom. Everything was lined up to begin but her and her husband anticipated taking showers at the gym they belong to and now they are closed due to the virus.

They are now looking at those portable camp propane showers units

Well since I'm the amateur handyman in our house building a ceiling tall mantle over our fireplace I tell my wife whenever she asks me when the project will be completed, "well you know coronavirus and all". I started the project in early February. Hope it will be done in a couple more weeks.
