My Zmodo ZMD-DX-SAN8 H.264 analog BNC surveillance dvr has finally came to the end of its life after 5 years. The Zmodo only supported 960h video resolution. I want to upgrade to a 1080p video resolution DVR. A POE NVR is out of my budget and I don't want to rewire the entire house, then again I don't want too cheap either, although Im pretty sure ZOSI & Amcrest have improved in quality.

Anyone ever used Nellys Security?

Since most of my cameras are still in working order, I don't want to get a kit, as I want to upgrade the cameras one at a time.

If you buy a $100 DVR you are going to get a, well, $100 DVR.

Most of the super low end analog DVR units are all cranked out by a tiny handful of Chinese manufacturers. They just slap different brand names on them.

Do your cameras support 1080p?

Many cheap analog cameras from 5 years or older were only 720p.

I have a box of old Zmodo cameras in my back room.
