I've got a clog that Drano won't fix, a snake I have will not reach, and a bladder on a hose doesn't do much for the problem. What can I do? The clog is in the sewer main, as it effects both a shower drain as well as a drain from the kitchen. If I had a trained mouse that could crawl down there and gnaw it away, that would be great, but I don't have that so what else is there?
If it is tree roots, you could use root killer (from hardware store.) If it is any other type of clog, call a plumber, so you do not damage the sewer line by jamming all kinds of tools down there.
And there's a reason for that. Sometimes, you simply cannot "do it yourself". You've tried everything you know to do...except buy a longer snake...even my suggestion is something you've already tried (some sort of reverse pressure).
I think you can rent Roto-Rooters from Tractor Supply Company (if you have one close to you). Personally, I think you should call a plumber. There's just some things professionals come in use for.
trust me --i have had this problem. call the plumber. my dh tried to do it himself, and thought he got to the source--he didnt and we had to call the plumber two weeks later. you want to guess what the problem was? feminine hygene products (not mine--lady upstairs) 32 of them to be exact--yuck!!
contrary to popular beleif they should not be flushable!

How do you know that it was hers, did you analyze it ? Poor plumber, what they must deal with.
