I have an old (40 year) blacktop driveway. I need to do some patching, but can't find anywhere to buy blacktop in my area. Will Quikcrete work, and if so, what can I cover it with to match the original blacktop,
now faded to a dark gray?
If the esthetic is that important- don’t do any patching.
As others have stated, at 40yo it’s time for a new drive.
I agree time for a new one, if you can afford it check into getting concrete and than you won’t have to worry about sealing it or patching it. 40 years is a long time for a blacktop driveway to last, it must of been done by a company that knew what they were doing. You will never get 40 years out of a modern blacktop driveway today.
