Well, if it’s “oil-fired”- it’s a “hot water” system, as opposed to a steam system.
Then there’s the question of “is it a one pipe, or two pipe system?” This means a lot as far as the stability/even distribution of heat; and maintenance. A one pipe system loops between each radiator- less maintenance, but not as good a distribution of heat. Two pipe system is just the opposite. One supply and return pipe for each radiator- more maintenance, much better distribution of heat.
