Glasses up or facing down in cabinets? (color, room, kitchen)

Where do you stand on this issue, and why?

No "stand" on something so trivial, though if I think about it at all, I might stack glasses/cups that don't get used often upside down to keep dust or the occasional spider from being trapped inside.

Most of our stuff is up, but for a specific reason. Our fine glassware is actually bottom heavy. Tipping, falling and breaking is a real issue. I've lost several pieces to breakage.

Isn’t this a “psychological” profiling question?

When I color-in the dot, can I color outside the dot? Pencil; or blue or black ink?

I am re-arranging my kitchen and a memory came up. My mother and stepmother had different views on this.

It may never rank up there with 'Which was does the toilet paper' go, but people do disagree on it.

I have a pie safe with "company" glasses in it. Those are upright. No way would I EVER use them without washing first.

In the everyday cabinet, glasses are also upright, but those get used within a week from washing.

Here is a counter question... do you store your plates and bowls inverted? Is the dirt on them somehow less dirty than the dirt on your glasses?

Up and down. Our glasses are tapered enough that by alternating them, we can get all of them in a smaller area. More room for additional storage.
