We have a lift master too. The wall button is a royal pain to work with. You can't even program the correct time into it. Thankfully we only have one garage door opener because we don't regularly use the 2nd side.
We have a remote, plus my car button is linked, we also have a cell app that will open it. Maybe consider doing a cell app for the big door if you don't use it a lot.
Ours is already close to 10 years old I'm sure. I wonder what kind of support there even is. I may have to google just to see lol

Yes, I will come back and report the outcome. Lol it is frustrating when an OP asks a question, gets all kinds of advice and suggestions, but never returns to say what worked, what didn't, etc..
One suggestion I can't try is a cellphone app ... I am one of the last remaining flippy phone users left in the world :-)
