I don't think I'd ever trust it. Too afraid tiny shards would get into any clothing I'd wash after that.
Psychologically the fear would just mess with my mind.
So far I vacuumed out the tub, did a tub clean cycle, removed the agitator plate and vacuumed again under that, and ran the tub clean again. At the moment there's no sign of glass so I'm cautiously optimistic. Tomorrow I'll rewash the towels and check for any remnants. It's pretty easy to see glass on the towels out in the sunlight.
I've done that several times but the wife isn't having it. They're now shop rags.
