No idea how it happened but my terrazzo floor has about a quarter sized gouge in it.(rather soft and crumbly inside)
The tile is basically off white with a random "splash/streak/splatter" pattern.
Is there anything it can be filled with? Even temporarily? I do have extra tiles but you know what that would entail.
? Terrazzo usually refers to a poured floor that is almost indestructible. If yours is a terrazzo-like tile that is "soft and crumbly" inside, this may only be the beginning of your problems. As KB suggested, polyurethane, or epoxy as a temp fix.
When you said you had a terrazzo floor with a gouge, I had immediate "Impossible!" thoughts and then of a large safe being dropped from a second story onto it. The only thing I have ever seen damage a real terrazzo floor is a worker with a large jackhammer, and even that took time. Hurricanes are nothing more than a puny leaf blower to them.
OK; in that case just fill with color matching grout.
You know, I did do that with a much, much smaller little chip. But it's dull, no shine and the color is off enough from any other parts of the floor so that it looks like...........the grout
I hate to think I have to buy another container of a hopefully better color just for this spot.
