Only if you live in a dry location without humidity like parts of Arizona.
It is an evaporative cooling so called “swamp” cooling principle - and it adds humidity to the air which in humid climate makes it too muggy, unpleasant, contribute to the feeling of heat elsewhere in the house by comparison next to this gadget and leads to mold and mildew
