There's no cover. I can try covering. Like I mentioned in another thread there a pipe with water coming out and a hole where it's going. I have no idea where it came from or where it's going
I took some time to put poly on a few places. There were a few open areas for a chimney I'm not using, also a crawlspace that I can't get into and I put some on the sump pump hole itself. The hole is not a standard hole, it's in the foundation itself.
I turned up the unit but I'm not getting any difference. I tested the sensor I have outside and it went up to 99F and 38RH. I brought it back inside in the basement.
As it stands now it's 65F and 63.7RH. I don't know what else I can do to get this RH that much lower.
It should be said that about half the basement has a concrete floor, the other half is dirt. Half of that dirt has thick poly down the other half I replaced with landscape cloth.
When the flood came in there was water below the poly and on top. It's been a tripping hazard, it's loud and it's shiny. Contractors have tripped a bit. I'm having an energy audit next month it should be interesting.
