I know I am weird but I don't mind spiders ... never have.

And I'm a 62-year-old-female. (Good gosh, I'm old! )

According to everything I read, they're the same except cobwebs are old, unused spiderwebs.

When I hear cobwebs, I think of old houses where someone hasn't cleaned in years.

spiderweb - a web made by a spider.

cobweb - a spider's web, especially when old and covered with dust.

What Is The Cause Of Cobwebs? How Are Cobwebs Created?
Are cobwebs actually spiderwebs? Literally, cobwebs are only old spiderwebs, but one family of spiders got the top title – Theridiidae or “cobwebs-spiders.” These home-abandoning spiders—forming one of largest spider families, with over 3000 species—get their name from their distinctly disorganized webs

What's the difference between a cobweb and a spider web? "Spider web" is typically used to refer to a web that is apparently still in use (i.e. clean), whereas "cobweb" refers to abandoned (i.e. dusty) webs. However, the word "cobweb" is also used by biologists to describe the tangled three-dimensional web of some spiders of the family Theridiidae.

Come on! Really?

I thought the same. Dictionary says cobwebs are older spider webs but another link says they're the same thing

I have the same problem in my house. I’m always finding webs under furniture or in corners. I use a Swiffer, but I keep forgetting to buy a safe bug spray to follow up with.

I get bimonthly pest service outside, and I’m tempted to have a treatment inside, but I don’t think it’s a big enough problem to warrant it.

A broom works really well. So does a vacuum cleaner.
