I bought a new build house and the second floor windows have window stops installed. I have removed them because they were the type that automatically lock every time the window closes and I jammed my hands every time I tried to open the window. (There are only adults living in my house and I did save them to reinstall for if I either sell the house or get grandkids waaaaaaaaaaay down the line)

These locks were drilled into the aluminum window jamb so now I have 2 half inch holes in each jamb. I'd like to cover them and the first thing that comes to mind is a silicone type of plug. Problem is...I don't even know 1.) where to look and 2.) what term I would search for. I've seen plugs but they are not quite what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something that would kind of look like an automotive push rivet where the top is slightly larger than the hole and would cover it completely.

Alternatively, looking for other suggestions to cover up these holes.

Thanks!

Amazon sells “window plugs for screw holes” white.
I’ve seen them at places like Lowe’s and Home Depot too.

I assume you referring to sash vent locks?
Instead of removing and trying to find something to plug the hole, why not just disable them and put them back in the hole?
