Somebody at State Farm is BSing you if that's what you were told. Who was it that told you that? A claim rep, your agent? Was it in writing quoting the policy terms?

I don't see any other limitation that would cause the claim to be denied.

I am a retired property claims adjuster and I have a sample copy of a State Farm homeowners form FP-7955 that I am reading from.

It was the adjuster who told us that.

I have heard from many people that we should fight it, and we are.

It happened in August so no it wasn’t due to freezing weather.
