We just started using a new Weber grill. I'm shopping for a new grill brush.

We currently have this kind of brush

Weber is recommending something more like this.

I've done the obvious and looked at reviews. I'm leaning towards getting the first one. I wonder if anyone has other suggestions? I'm trying to avoid anything with lose bristles. We try to brush every time we use it then maybe do a deep clean once or twice a season.

The 2nd one you linked is much better for actual cleaning and avoiding loose metal bristles.

I think either is fine, as long as you follow up with an oil moistened paper towel.

Aluminum foil can work, if there is not too much on the grill.

No surprise there. It's a Weber product at twice the price.

Get the first one. It's ubiquitous.

I didn't see your post. I ordered the three sided one. I may try the larger one depending on how it goes.

Thanks.

The first one looks sturdier but the second one looks like it can get in the corners and betwen the bars better. As with your teeth, brush often.

I thought about getting both. They're not expensive.

I appreciate the replies.

I thought "cleaning" a grill was sacrilegious?

I call it "patina."

(I don't dare post a pic!)

I've owned both and both lose bristles after a while. I recommend the GRILLJOY 18inch Grill Cleaning Brush Bristle Free for $10.99.
