On the rental side, it’ll keep maintenance to very little. On my side, it’ll keep the damage a 100lb dog and a 9 YO kid can do. I do also appreciate the cool tile in these TX summers.

A rental property is a totally different thing than a private residence. However, I would put it in the side of the duplex I was living in (if I remember the thread correctly).
