Yes, they do. And they’re pissed so you have to bang pots and pans to startle them… when they’re startled you can them growl. Oh, and don’t go out after dark and don’t let your dog out. They’ll eat it.

Well, add alligators to the list of "why I won't live in Florida". I've been through plenty of hurricanes in Virginia and lost power in many of them, but at least there weren't alligators in the streets afterwards.

At least alligators are easy to see. After hurricanes water based venomous snakes turn out as well. They are more dangerous because they hide and strike when startled
