Good ventilation in your basement might alleviate the problem. I have seen vent windows for basements that seem to me more logical than the old "Fan in the pipe" routine.

All the best!

If you cannot read a newspaper fluorescing under the radiation from the Radon don't bother. If you can it is too late anyway. IMHO radon mitigation is not needed if you do not live over a uranium mine.

I think there might be a few people that disagree with Greg, I know the EPA does

Default air purification company

Hey there,
You can install most systems yourself and then save the labor dollars. There is a air oasis induct air purifier I installed myself. I just cut a hole in the duct and stuck the unit to the duct. It plugs into a 115volt outlet. Check out Purifiers. they show you how to install one on there also and very informative.

Any UV systems you add you need to make sure the light from them does not shine against the evaporator coil or any other metals. You'll also want to make sure you're not using an ozone type system. IMO the best air purifiers are the thick media filters with very well sealed duct work. You'll just want to make sure the return vent/plenum/ductwork is properly increased to compensate for the newer restrictive filter.

I think we are talking about two different things here folks.....Radon Mitigation should be handled by one who is trained and licensed to do so.
