Mine is a 25 cu ft model and often full. I'm fortunate to be able to handle most appliance repairs on my own, but I fully understand your pride in ownership of that one. Well done.
Thanks!

I got A 12oz can of R12- at a somewhat reasonable price! In case you're in need!

Shhh! That stuff is more illegal than weed these days.

I'm seeing a trend in people using propane instead of freons. I was always curious why it was avoided as much as it was, even with the slight inefficiencies involved. The price of any freon today, and the hassles involved, are ridiculous.

Cost me $4.00 for a replacement bulb on an IH fridge made in 1954. Been running like a top all that time- just pull it out, vacuum the compressor area and add oil if needed.
I don’t think you need a fridge…at all.

Appliances are getting like cars. A small piece of unrepairable electronics fails and costs a fortune to replace.
I don't have any confidence in that site. They don't even have a phone number listed. Amazon has a set of all 3 lights for $143, with 21% 1 star ratings. I'm probably going to buy it and pray.

Thanks for all the replies. Sorry to take so long in responding. We've done ok without lights in the fridge for a few weeks, which makes me think that I don't have to rush to replace the "bulbs."

I'm going for the "cheap" Amazon deal. If that doesn't work out I'll go ghetto with stick-on lights or rely on my night vision.

Thanks for all the advice.
