Lowe's has terrible quality merch. It's all really cheap stuff from China. I wouldn't trust the Chinese to produce one of these that's functional long term.

Had a Safe Step tub in my home in La Quinta. Poor quality construction, abysmal customer service, total waste of water, etc. I couldn't yank it out fast enough.

One of the popular shower installs are the outdoor shower stalls many celebs are doing so they can enjoy an outdoor shower after swimming in the pool or sunbathing.

One of the issues, which is my main objection, is what to do while it fills up and while it drains? As far as I know, unless you have super powers, you'd have to sit there in your birthday suit while the thing fills up and drains. I guess you could wrap yourself in a towel or robe and keep pulling it up until the water level rises enough to be comfortable but what a nuisance.

Definitely not for me.
I hadn't even thought of that but it's an obvious shortcoming. I think if you want one of these then a handicap accessible spa is a much better idea.

I have to think it ultimately becomes a question of attempting to put 5 lbs in a 4 lb bag. People put these in because they can't fit a better alternative.

Would I install it? Probably not. I haven't looked it up, but I would prefer a man come to the house and build something pretty with stone walls.

Something like this.

Then you have to add the plumbing and labor to remove the old tub/shower and install the new one. The labor is the majority of the cost. Not the actual tub/shower. I wouldn't use the installers from Lowe's most are handymen and don't know what they're doing. Been there. Done that when my partner wanted to save a few bucks. Cost us a small fortune more to save a few bucks.

I wouldn’t pay for cable TV. But so what? Different strokes.
