Fine bar ware is expensive. I am not a wine drinker, but everyone I know hates thick wine glasses.

Not envious at all. DH and I retired in our mid-fifties (twenty+ years ago) and have travelled the world several times.

IMHO, gathering new experiences whilst travelling beats sitting in a basement drinking booze and watching movies. Plenty of time for that when I get old!

My first thought was a nice statement type candle. But then I thought "What about a gift card to Bed Bath & Beyond...and they could get something they wanted.

Something funky that's made locally. Like craft beer, local wine, local cheese.... Glasses with local breweries logos on them? Glasses with a local map on them? Do they have kids? Fancy sodas for the kiddos! Gourmet popcorns and a whole bunch of the flavoring things? A framed movie poster from one of their favorite movies?

A really, really, really big dehumidifier.

Something from a favorite sports team? I like consumable items like chocolate or cheese or something alcoholic brewed locally. Something that says established 2022?

Different strokes Lillie, different strokes. Traveling the world is not something I would find happiness in. Watching movies and drinking in my own home theater isn't either. We all have our own pleasures. No need to diss someone else's because it isn't what you would choose.
