Just buy a new fan. They're almost throw away items. Get a cheap one this time.
This is in my master bedroom so no cheap one. I want to have a nice fan that matches my decor. BTW most fans aren't cheap. I just bought one for the other room and it was $219
A fan motor shouldn't be going back within 3 years. It's possible though. Try looking on YouTube with "<brand> fan making noise". You'd be surprised what you find. Might help, might not, but it's worth trying before calling an electrician.
We have a very expensive one in our bedroom as well. It started humming about 2 years ago after 18 years. Turned out to be the (or one of) LED bulbs causing the hum, even when the light was off. Put plain bulbs back in and the hum was gone. I have another one thats going on oh 60 - 70 years old in my den that hasnt made a sound in all the years Ive known about and had it. (Came from a relatives house who passed away.)
UGH I can't find the purchase receipt. Of course, it's the only one missing out of my receipts from when we bought everything for the house in January 2020!!!!
JK-I Found it!! Lets see what my options are here
YEA-Under warranty and returning for a replacement at no cost!
Be sure you clean it thoroughly before you give up on it. Accumulations of house dust can throw them off balance.
Balance the blades. You can do this yourself at no cost. Here's a video showing you how.
UGH the new fan is worse than the old one!!!! I'm contacting customer service to see what my options are here. It's costing me $85 to have these fans removed and replaced. Beyond frustrated right now.
