Why?
What will a grossly oversized mirror do for a living room?
What fabulous view do you have that you want it reflected?

My guess is that you already decided you are getting it...

Your living room. Will it fit on the ceiling?

If you like it, go for it. Anyone else's opinion is not as important as your own since you are the one who will be living with it. Just be absolutely sure you DO like it enough to deal with the hassle of getting it into your home, and the constant upkeep with keeping it smear and fingerprint free.

I don't care for its proportions, too short and wide. It would look better the tall way, but only if you have 20 foot ceilings. Or wall mounted a few feet off the floor.

No. Too overwhelming. How to comment without pics of the room itself? I hope your LR is HUGE! The scale is going to overwhelm everything else. Depending on how the room's windows are oriented, consider the glare it will create. Do you watch TV in the LR? The glare/reflection could really interfere. Were you planning on mounting it on a wall? Would the wall support the weight? You really like oversized decor OP.

Well the plan is to build a short and long table specifically designed to put the mirror on top of so it will be taller.

Ironically, the living room is actually pretty small! It is an open floor plan. My delimma is that there is not enough sunlight that radiates through the living room because of all of the trees. By placing this mirror by the wall, I'm hoping for the sunlight to bounce off the mirror to create more light. And since the room is quite small, the mirror will give the illusion that that the living room is bigger. I will try to provide a photo of living room shortly.

No tv in the living room. There is a tv in nearly every other room, so decided to do without one in the living room. As for the mirror, It's far too heavy to mount on to the wall.

HA! you're right, I do like oversized decor!

I like it. It has a very clean modern look.

I wouldn't have a wall in my house big enough for that mirror, but if you like it and have a place to put it, then go ahead and buy it.
