I'd stay here in Colorado as home base, buy a condo on Upper East Side of New York and a house on the water in Montauk, LI, where I spent my childhood summers. Oh, and a place in Paris, 7th Arrondisement, a place in the Belgravia section of London and a house with a view in Maui or Playa del Carmen.
We actually talked about this the other day.
Right where we live now.
Would travel more and fly on non-commercial airplanes.
Would amp up charitable giving by a huge amount. $40M USD (ISO units) per year.
I'd probably get a place on Beacon Hill in Boston so that I can walk everywhere, and be near my family.
Then I'd get another place in the mountains of the peninsular Malaysia. I live in Malaysia now, but down in muggy Kuala Lumpur. Whether it's Cameron Highlands, or Frasier's Hill or some other mountain settlement, I want to live with my wife and daughter in eternal spring.
Move back to Maine but keep a place here in Va. also.
