I don't think I would settle down for a long time. I've always wanted to visit many places that are out of my budget.
Who can choose one place to be when there are so many choices to explore ?
I bought a ticket today. Just one chance out of millions. But someone will, eventually, inevitably, win.
One advantage of visiting the different places is you get to taste their flavors. While you can import or grow those ingredients in your home area, they won’t have the same flavor when prepared. There’s a difference in the soil, smells in the air, water, and what the animals used for meat eat,…all of which contributes to the flavor of the community. I can’t enjoy cappuccino as well after having cappuccino in Italy in a small tree lined city park across the street from the waterfront. The shop that prepaired the cappuccino kept their front doors open facing the waterfront for the fresh breeze off the water. Asking locals at the hotel which restaurants they enjoy that they wish tourist would try for a true taste of their foods is a great way to try stuff away from the tourist restaurants.
I like where I am right now. But possibly, I might try to buy out the neighbor with the barking dogs and then I could get rid of their gopher sanctuary and their knap weed farm.
I would have a ski out home in Colorado and a home in Florida Keys as a primary for taxes and warm weather. Ah to dream.
