I would absolutely LOVE a sink in my current laundry room but there isn't space for one! No plumbing runs in the garage or I'd consider putting one out there, but the garage is detached so it wouldn't be very convenient. The baths in this house aren't large enough for bigger vanities/sinks. I've installed utility sinks in almost all my previous houses. If you want cabinet storage, find a cabinet with an incorporated oversized sink.

Renovating my home and bathroom near laundry room. I was considering removing my slop sink in my laundry room. Is this a bad idea? Would I regret it? I rarely use it now, there is a bathroom adjacent to it. A cabinet would go in it's place. So why might I possibly regret getting rid of the slop sink?
It's a nice feature in a house, though I'd never call it a slop sink. It's just a deep sink. Handy for all sorts of things, including bathing the dog!
But it's your house. If you're not going to sell it, you only need to consider what's useful for you.
.....As for utility or laundry room sinks - I consider them a must. I wouldn't buy a house without one.
It's a semi-non-negotiable for me.
Meaning that they're usually so easy to install (by a plumber of course) -- that IF the house didn't have one, I'd know when I bought it that putting one in would be one of the first things I had done.
That's what I did at my last house. I was aghast that there was no utility sink. So, since the kitchen remodel was done just after move in, I had the old kitchen sink, wall and base cabinets moved to the garage for a custom counter/work table area and storage.

A utility sink is a must!
Ok you have all convinced me to not get rid of it! Thank you
It serves no purpose to me. In fact, when we were shopping for homes, if the laundry room had one of those sinks, I passed on the house.
Wow. Good lesson in this statement. You can never predict what one person's line in the sand may be. I can't even comprehend this one but I'm sure there are others that would seem even more arbitrary. lol
