Most "modern" houses are very ugly... I have yet to see one that looks pleasing to the eye. On the contrary, buildings that are hundreds of years old look beautiful.

I agree. I often marvel that hundreds of years ago, when everything was crafted by hand, buildings were much more intricate and detailed. Now, when intricate details can be stamped out or cut by robots, everything "new" looks plain and square.

I don't think it's high design to make a cube.

Here is our modern house. I figure since it was completed in 2015, it can still be classified as modern. Now, if you want, I can describe the revolutionary features that should be included in new constructions.
