We've been getting lots of ants on our kitchen counters and various other places in our home. We keep our place clean so its not like we have food laying around. I've put down some ant baits a couple of weeks ago but the little boogers still won't go away.

I'd like some suggestions on how to get rid of them. They have already worn out their welcome in our home.

Thanks!

Terro. I had ants in the corner of my bedroom. They were coming in through the floor boards. I put that Terro down. They were all gone after a week. With the Terro, it will attract all of them out so you will see about 20-30 of them eating it at a time but don't get scared and don't kill them. You have to allow them to take it back to the nest to kill the queen. You can get it right from Walgreens. I love that stuff. Terro + Patience will get them out of there.

Yes, I dealt with ants for years and nothing worked and my uncle told me about this. I used the Terro liquid and you put it on the cards supplied or foil, I had hundreds of them eating on a couple of them for a couple of days and they were gone within a week. Great stuff. It only runs around $3.00 to $4.00 for a bottle and it last a good while.

Getting rid of them is one thing- understanding why they're there is another. If you haven't had regular rain in the past 3-4 weeks- they're looking for water!
I too deal with this problem- and they always disappear after a good rain. I do agree, Terro is a good product.

Yeah, you could but you would have to redo it if it rains.

I give another vote for Terro. They make liquid bait type traps that if you put outside, they are well protected against rain since they are a plastic container with a little ramp on them for the ants to walk up and in. I used them in corners of the foundation behind bushes where these little ants always seemed to be. Of course lots of water/wind will swamp it but they worked wonders.

Terro is good stuff.
It is a glycerine base with borax in it.
They like the sugar and the borax kills them.

You can also sprinkle borax around your home, and that works well, too.

I quit using Terro inside the house, because my exterminator, Ed, told me that the bait was drawing them inside.
I took his advice and let him deal with it.
No ants for a couple of years now.

Cool! Sounds like Terro is the way to go. We've been using Raid ant baits but it isn't doing jack. I will let yall know how Terro works out for us. Thanks again!
